"This delightful Inn is set in the small hamlet
of Rowhook near to Horsham in West Sussex. The main
bar with its Horsham stone floor and oak beams dates
back to the 15th Century and the picturesque white washed
building provides a welcoming site to hungry travellers
in search of good British food and a wide selection
of real ales."
"Tim
Neal and his wife Katy have been running The Chequers
Inn for the last six months having made the decision
to go it alone. Tim was formerly Head Chef at Newick
Park in East Sussex and the 3AA rosetted South Lodge
in West Sussex."
"Tim
has taken on the challenge of offering his clients the
same standard of food but at realistic prices that don't
have to reflect the costs related to hotels and large
restaurants. Whilst Katy ensures that the front of house
provides a relaxed atmosphere and smooth, efficient
but friendly service".
"In
a short space of time, Tim and Katy have built up a
loyal and increasing clientele. Don't take my word for
it, try out some of Tim's recipes for yourself or, better
still, take a trip to the Chequers Inn".
(Please
refer to the recipe page for the recipes Tim supplied
to accompany this article).
