Your
hosts at this delightful and historic Inn situated
in the pretty hamlet of Rowhook are the husband
and wife team of Tim and Katy Neal. They extend
a warm welcome to all who visit, whether you are
there to enjoy Tim's superb food, or have just
stopped off for a drink in the bar, for as well
as being a great place to eat the Chequers Inn
is also a popular country pub, with real ales,
et al.

Now
please pay attention as we warn you politely to
!!!
MIND YOUR HEAD !!!
(As
by 'historic', we mean that we have very low ceilings)
Tim's
Master Chef accreditation is your assurance of his experience
and expertise. He is one of the Country's youngest and
most creative Chefs. Tim and Katy are both committed
to serving you the finest food, and to the training
their young staff. This ensures that high standards
are maintained, and, in due course, the wider catering
industry will benefit when those they've trained move
on to make their mark. Tim
and Katy are in their fifth year of business together
at The Chequers. In this time they have established
Neals Restaurant as being one of the finest places to
eat in the area, so booking is strongly advised! That
business is good is not a surprise when it is appreciated
that Tim was for three years the Head Chef at the famous
South Lodge Hotel. South Lodge has always had a reputation
as fine Hotel, but it was Tim who put it on the culinary
map by helping South Lodge to achieve acclaimed status
and three much covetted AA rosettes.Tim
and Katy are also members of the Campaign for Real Food.
This means that your food will not only look and taste
great, but you will have the added satisfaction of knowing
that it is the 'Best of British' with ingredients being
locally sourced wherever possible.Suffice
to say that if you haven't eaten at Neals Restaurant
before, you are in for a treat.
Now
who's feeling the slightest bit peckish and might like
a peek at the menu? Enjoy!
